Behind the scenes: The making of 4 Moroccan inspired fountains

Behind the scenes: The making of 4 Moroccan inspired fountains

At G Vega, we love a creative challenge. Our latest project was to design four elaborate fountains behind a plunge pool in Puente Romano incorporating antique bronze Moroccan taps.

The detailed ceramic tiles behind the main fountain are designs from our Moroccan collection, and in keeping with the Moroccan theme, the fountains to the left and right are the shape of traditional Moroccan arches. The fourth and final fountain is behind the seating area on the terrace.

The tiles for the project were made from scratch in our workshop in San Pedro Alcantara, Marbella; from the carving of the clay, to the hand painting of each individual tile, all the way through to the glazing and final firing. This was a giant puzzle and the tiles were beautifully installed.

The G Vega team collaborated with Barmi Diseño S.L and Bailon Ramirez S.L to complete the project and we hope you'll agree that the results are fabulous. We would like to thank our lovely clients for making this project possible.

Here is a sneak peek into the design and production process of the project.
